Our Vision
To provide a Christian environment in which children can grow to be intelligent, sensitive, and caring members of society.
To establish within a Montessori program the highest academic and moral standards.
To provide encouragement and support for families in their responsibility of educating and caring for their children.
To provide a program for children from 18 months through eighth grade.
  A Proven Educational Philosophy.

The Montessori Method is the basis of our educational philosophy. Developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, this method succeeds because it draws its principles from scientific observations of how children naturally develop. Our classrooms encourage a child’s innate passion for learning through spontaneous, purposeful activities guided by the following principles:

With the individualized instruction in our classrooms, special needs students excel and gifted students progress without limits.

Hands-on Learning
Direct personal contact with physical objects and tactile models brings abstract concepts to life. This provides our children with a much deeper understanding as they progress to more abstract concepts.

A Focus on Individual Progression
Within a framework of firm guidance, children progress at their own pace. All children are continually challenged to reach their highest potential.

Everything from tables and shelves to sinks and bathroom facilities are the proper size fot the age-range of our students.

Designed for the Child
The MCMS Montessori environment is designed for the children’s cognitive level and physical size. Classroom materials match the capabilities, interests, and needs of the age group. The furniture is sized for the student. All materials are easily accessible and developmentally appropriate.

Multiple Ages
Our Montessori classes are designed for multiple age mixes (three to six years old, six to nine years old, etc.) to meet the needs of specific events of development. This allows the younger students to learn from the older and the older students to reinforce what they know by assisting the younger.

Self-directed
With teacher guidance, children select work that captures their interest and attention. This self-direction develops independence and a lifelong passion for learning.
