MCMS is associated with the International Montessori Council. Our curriculum is based on the Montessori curriculum, the Core Knowledge Foundation curriculum, Gifted/Talented curriculums and the Indiana State Standards.

Language
Our curriculum encourages rich and precise language development using a phonetic-based program.

Science & Cultural Studies
Geography, History, Biology, Botany, Zoology, Art and Music are essential extensions of the sensorial and language activities. In addition, our children learn about many other cultures, both past and present.

Mathematics
MCMS children learn and understand mathematical concepts by working with scientifically designed materials. This provides them with a solid foundation for traditional mathematical principles as they progress to more abstract reasoning.

The Christian atmosphere supports and encourages young children in their faith.

Christian Studies
The academic environment is incorporated with an interdenominational emphasis on the Christian faith. We teach the Bible in a Montessori-style approach, emphasizing Christian values and encouraging each child’s personal relationship with God on a daily basis. Students regularly visit local convalescent homes, adopt families, sponsor children in other countries and participate in other outreaches.
